Sister Talk

My sister and I had a short visit with each other minus our children and grandchildren and we had so much fun. Without a big crowd we get a lot of visiting in together. Of course, the way we visit is to get out and do some shopping. I love to shop with her because I know she will tell me the truth about how something looks on me. We talk non stop and catch up on
stuff" that we normally don't get to talk about. She brought her Yorkie along with her and of course, her hubby. The hubs and the dogs stayed home and watched football and they like it that way. No shopping for them. LOL

We have become best friends and wish we lived closer. Then again, if we did live closer to each other we'd be broke most of the time. There was a time when we just tolerated each other. You probably remember those days when you were a teenager and your sibling was a nerd. We each had our own friends and didn't "run around" together as kids. Now, we talk every other day on the phone just to talk and hear each other's voice.

On another note, I'm going to be busy this week undecorating and redecorating the house. Leisurely.  Like I said in another post, I'm not going to stress out, I'm not going to stress out, I'm not going to stress out this holiday season.

Praying you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

We had a very nice Thanksgiving with family. Then shopping on Friday, a movie on Saturday and church on Sunday. Today my plan is to wrap all the gifts we bought this weekend. I'm usually in a mad dash on Christmas Eve getting all that done. Not this year though. Then it will be on to redecorating the house for Christmas.

What a nice photo of the two of you. I enjoy being with my sister ALONE, too. It never happens anymore.

I could have written this post about my older sister. Growing up she was in a class all her own... We rarely crossed over into each other's lives. As young adults we weren't so close but as we've grown older she's become my dearest confidant and one of my two closest friends. A huge blessing~

Sweet post.

I am in NJ visiting my own sister too. We are the only daughters among the 6 siblings (2 girls, 4 boys)

Believe me it is VERY NICE to get out of frozen Alaska for a break!

It is nice to get together I agree. I used to tolerate her too but we get along just great now. Too bad we live in different parts of the planet!

Oh there is NOTHING like the bond between sisters. I don't have enough hours in the day when I am talking with one of mine on the phone. I don't live close to any of mine but we visit by phone or email or FB regularly!
So happy you and Liz had some 'sister face time'!
Hugs
