Hi, Christine..I'm bj from Sweet Nothings. I saw your comment over at Vee's and wanted to visit a little about your problem of being able to load only one photo at a time when working up a post. I hope I can help you...altho, it is almost like the blind leading the blind. :))
I will assume you are using NEW EDITOR in Blogger. When you click on the button to load your photos, it should allow you to just keep loading AS LONG AS YOU STAY in that same box and DON'T publish your photos to you post. Once you publish to the post, SOMEtimes, not always, you have to REFRESH your page and then you'll be able to load more photos.
