A week from now all the Christmas deco will be taken down and put away for another year at our house. It all has to stay though til after New Years Day. That is when all of our kids and grandkids will be here for gift exchange, pizza and football.
Santas will be put away but the snowman stays through February.
The fire stays but the tree will be put away.
Santa and his reindeer will go.
It's like when you go on a trip. You know that in a little while you'll be coming back the same way you went. It's the same when you put all the Christmas deco up, you know it has to come down sooner or later. I'm so glad I don't have to go to work anymore. Retirement means doing things at your own pace. So I don't have to be in a hurry to put all the decorations away. Hopefully, I won't be sick of it all by then.

Oh just leave it up. That way you won't have to mess with it next year!! :)
Last year when I did put up a tree I decided to morph it into a Mardi Gras tree (still had to put away Xmas and bring out MG decos) but I got sick of it being there after whooping it up for MG so I nixed the idea of an Easter tree, etc. This year I didn't put up a tree so I don't have to deal with it at all! Your stuff looks so pretty, Christine!!!
We keep downsizing our decorations, so doesn't seem overwhelming this year to take down.
I have my pre-lit Palm Tree and it stays up all year :)
I hung a "Welcome to My Tropical Christmas" sign on the front door and a Picture frame of a Snowman with a strand of lights (battery operated) and that's it! I took those "2" items down on Sunday. All finished...lol
I am leaving my decorations up until after New Year's. The snowmen are going to stick around for a while longer.
