I'm A Candy Makin Fool

This is the only time of year I make homemade candy.  Chocolate Peanut Clusters are my husbands' favorite candy and Christmas isn't Christmas without them. I like Peppermint Fudge and make it at the same time as the clusters. Last week I made enough for us and our church connection group that meets on Wednesday nights.  This week I will make more for our children and grandchildren.

The day I made candy I also baked some cookies. Those of you who know me know I don't bake cookies unless they are the store bought slice and bake kind. I got the recipe on a blog I was reading one day and thought they soundeed good. Some of the ingredients were cocoa, instant coffee, flour and sugar, etc. They were ok but I probably won't make them again. My husband loved them by the way.

If you don't see a post from me for a few day you will know what I'm doing. Makin candy!

You know there's a blogger rule that if you make candy, you have to send some out to anyone who reads your blog.

Otherwise, you can go to jail!! :)

Okay, stop already! I'm totally NOT in the mood to cook. Never am, actually, but so far this week no spirit has moved me to even think about it. Just save some for me.

Hugs!

I don't think I've ever had peppermint fudge before. After all your candy making is over, could you share your recipe? Today I'm making caramels and praline pecans with plans for more baking and candy making on Tues, Thurs and Friday. (I'm taking Wednesday off to scrapbook.)

Oh, the candy looks so yummy!
I can just taste them melting in my mouth and not on my hands! LOL

Thanks for the "sweet tooth fix" without the calories! :)

Oh you girls that make candy! My sister makes the most incredibly rich chocolate truffles (she's even mastered the art of coating them with a hard shell) and even though I tell her NOT to give me any she always does. Eating just one sends me into sugar shock, but they sure are good. Guess it's the "hand made" part that does it. Merry Xmas to you!!!!!!
