Breakfast of Champions
Every Saturday morning my husband goes to the doughtnut shop to buy me a maple bar for breakfast. Saturday is the one day of the week that I stray from eating healthy for breakfast. I actually could eat one everyday but know that would throw my cholesterol levels way off base, so I limit my intake of sugar and fat to Saturday mornings with this one indulgence. This Saturday morning ritual must not be hurting me too bad because my last doctor check-up showed that my cholesterol level was 180. As long as I can keep it below 200 I'm happy. Do you ever stray from healthy eating for one indulgence or am I the only guilty one?

Oh, it looks so yummy! I found out I was a diabetic in October and I really miss sweets. Recently my husband ordered coconut cream pie at our favorite cafe, Savoy (61st & Memorial). I ate a tiny bite, so GOOD!

Oh, Christine! I stray from my daily indulgences to eat healthy about once per week! Lol. Glad your cholesterol is staying low. And that maple bar looks awesome!

Your husband is so "sweet!" I love that maple bar, but chocolate would be my poison of choice!

I've been eating healthier the last 2 or 3 months but I've indulged a couple of times.
