I know this is a frog but I cannot find what kind. I've Googled frogs that are indigenous to Oklahoma, but I didn't see one like this. It has taken residence in one of our flowerbeds where there is much cover to hide.
My daughter-in-law's dad told me he recognized it as a bullfrog that he sees every now and then. Surely it has a name though besides bullfrog. Anyone out there in Blogland know what kind of frog this is?

A spotted bullfrog, that's what it is. A bullfrog with spots. Yep.
I have a really good book that I found at a yard sale a few years ago that has every kind of critter in North America, and I 'think' this may be a 'southern leopard toad.' Here's a link that does kinda look like your little fella:

Thanks Kim for the website link. This is exactly the kind of frog it was. So glad to learn the information on it.

He's a toad. How nice of your commenters to know. He looks as if he is camouflaged.
