Another Halloween Craft

I saw this little paperback jack-o-lantern on a blog the other day and had to try my hand at it. So easy and cute. I used an old paperback book and folded in the pages and hot glued the front and back covers together and added a stick stem and fake leaves and facial features. Just another twist to Halloween.

This picture of my mother is sitting on an end table in the livingroom.

The hubster probably thinks I'm going a little overboard with the Halloween theme in our home but he knows that saying anything wouldn't do any good so he keeps quiet about it.

The carpenters didn't work on the screened porch this week. We are waiting on the painters and gutter people. All are to be here Monday and try and get everything wrapped up this coming week. To say I'm ready is an understatement.

I was just reading some of your earlier posts. Love the new flooring in your home. I think the doors by your table are exactly like my new deck door, which opens outward.

I feel your pain on the work going on at your home. We have been meeting with a deck contractor. We are pondering replacing our deck.. oh my gosh what an expensive undertaking but we might take the plunge. Anyway, having 4 dogs which come and go to their yard off this particular deck I asked the contractor if they stay on the job until it is done and was told they do...they said they have 5 crews and stay put until the deck is built.. like I said they are super expensive but we shall see if the hubby is on board with using them..... and they also told me they work all year..even in chilly wintry conditions, brrrr!

Also that book Widow of the South looks very interesting. I love true stories about history. I am on a memoir kick at the moment.

Have a super weekend. I will keep you and your sister and my other blog buddies posted about whether or not we redo/replace our deck.
