Collection Corner

I don't know anyone who doesn't collect something. My sister collects milk glass and colored glass jars to name a few and my husband collects eagles and one of my daughter-in-laws collects Boyd's Bears.  I collect two things that came about accidentally. One is McCoy Pottery and the other is bells.  Many, many years ago my dad gave me a bell for my birthday. From then on people started giving me bells and then I bought a few myself.  I don't collect state bells or souvenir bells and for a bell to get my interest it has to be unusual either in color or design.

                                      my Christmas bells

It's hard to believe that one little bell turned out to be a whole collection. I don't know how many I have. I've never counted them.  I know some of you are thinking that these are just dust collectors. You are absolutely right. Aren't all collections?

I once told someone that my collections had a collection of their own - dust.

Oh Christine.... What a lovely collection.... Isn't it fun finding the perfect little bell to add to your collection?

Thanks for coming and have a great time whipping up your own pumpkins. Whew... I had mess EVERYWHERE.... But it was so much fun.

Huggies,

I had several students give me lighthouses over the years. I had a few pictures of lighthouses in my classroom, so they assumed that it was something I liked. And they were right. So, I've bought a few to add to the collection and my family has bought me some. I have them all in my office. It keeps me reminded of those years I LOVED as a teacher.

I've heard it said that a collection is three or more of something. I think you have the "more" part covered. I didn't know your first bell came from Daddy. He really knew how to get something started, didn't he? :)
