Never Say Never

This weekend my daughter-in-laws and I had a three family garage sale in my garage. The only thing I can say about it is never again! I know, I know, one should never say never. The girls brought all their stuff and we worked so hard cleaning out closets to see what I could get rid of and then getting the garage ready so we could set everything up. I got a lot of help from everybody but I really don't know if all the work is worth it. If you've ever had one you know what I mean.

None of the dishes sold.

just a few of the holiday items sold

a lot of the children's clothes sold.

both refridgerators sold

How do we collect so much stuff?  Next time I go shopping I'll ask myself if I really have to have it and can I live without it. The grandkids had a ball and made a little money themselves. Of course, they didn't do any of the labor getting it ready.

I did make enough money to buy the comforter set for my yellow bedroom and the girls also made a little money and got rid of a lot of their stuff. What was left over will all to to Goodwill. My hubby is hauling it all off today. At least  the garage will be cleaned out. But ... the next time we get an inkling to have a garage sale I will haul all my stuff to Goodwill and the girls can have one at their house. Yeah, right.

Garage Sales are so much work with little profit, but at least you had family to keep you sane...or did they??

I usually sell all my stuff on Craig's List it takes longer but I have an empty bedroom set up for all my sale stuff. It is almost empty :)

I am a reformed horder :) I think long and hard before I buy anything!!

Rest Today :)

We've thought of having a garage sale, but with all that work and very little money in return, we always end up giving it away or taking it to Goodwill. Becca has been very lucky posting things "for free" on Facebook. We have always found some poor soul anxious to take our junk away. They even drive to our house and pick it up...we don't even have to deliver it!!! LOL!!!

I know what you mean! So much work and everybody wants you to just give it away for nothing!
I actually sold stuff on Craig's List. I will never have another garage sale either!
Very cute munchkins to play with!!
