Busy Spring Break

For the last two weeks I have been so busy that I haven't had time to blog. Does that happen to anyone else?  I've been taking advantage of the warm temperatures and good weather by doing a lot of clean up yardwork.  Things I should have done last fall but didn't.

Getting the garden area cleaned out and ready for early veggie plantings.

These huge holly bushes have to come out.  They are on each side of the shed in the backyard and are diseased and we hate them.  We have taken out the ones on the east side of the shed and now need to cut these down and remove. This has been a big job.

The shed will be repainted and then a new flowerbed will go along the side of it where the holly bushes were. We've also been cleaning out other flowerbeds and raking leaves like crazy.

The grandson has been helping too.

And speaking of the grandsons, we've had both of them during the day during spring break.  They definitely keep us on our toes.  We took them to a park one day for a picnic and playtime.  They enjoyed that  since there were kids there they knew.  I guess other grandparents had the same idea.

Hopefully, I'll get back in the groove of visiting blogs and writing more on mine next week.  Not only will "Rowdy Says" be back but now "Rocky's Antics" will be featured on my blog.  These two characters keep me laughing constantly.  Thanks for visiting.

Yes I get busy too. No big deal. That is why I just love Google Reader, all my favorite blogs are right there waiting for me to read.

I was getting concerned about you. Looks like you have been super busy with more to come! Enjoy!

Well that explains it! Spring has "arrived" and you're busy outside. I can imagine how much work it is to get the holly bushes dug out. Will you place them elsewhere or just get rid of them? Enjoy your weekend...

You have had a busy Spring break but my, oh, my you'll enjoy those homegrown veggies when they're ready. We were in Muskogee last night to watch our #2 grandson race his Sport Mod at Thunderbird Speedway. He won and his team mate came in 3rd. It was a good night but a long trip home!
