Dishing It Up With Christine

Frosting Cake

1 yellow cake mix
1 cup water
1 cup oil
4 eggs
1 container of pecan carmel icing
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Mix cake mix, water, oil and eggs together with mixer. Fold in icing and chopped pecans. Pour into oiled and floured bundt pan. Bake 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Ovens vary so watch carefully. Cool and turn over onto cake plate. This cake is delicious and very moist.

Notice that someone has already had a piece.

A friend gave me this recipe and I love it because it is not only good but easy and takes just a few minutes to whip together. Get a cup of coffee and enjoy.

Looks very tasty! I am having a cup of coffee as I type this comment. Sadly, I cannot grab a slice of cake thru the screen.... Have a great weekend!

This looks so GOOD! I remember when my mother got a bundt pan back in the late 60s or early 70s, she made 'sock it to me' cake many times. I think I have her recipe, I need to find it.

Smiles,
Carol

That recipe has an interesting twist... It really sounds yummy. Can you do it with other flavors?

Well, I don't think I've seen a recipe where you put the icing inSIDE the cake! But now I have! :)

Yummy!! The picture makes me think of The Cosby Show when Mr. Huxtable ate a piece a cake and then filled it in with paper towels and re-frosted it....I Love that show!!

That is one of the yummiest sounding cake recipes I have heard in a long time!! The frosting goes INSIDE?!

Do you remember "Henry Wallbanger Cake" from the 70's?
That was another interesting Bundt cake recipe! :)
