New Flooring

I was a busy little beaver yesterday and will probably work just as hard today getting our house back in order. Got finished with the kitchen and livingroom and they are sparkling clean. I had to wipe down everything and softscrub the kitchen counters and backsplash, wash the outside of the fridge, dishwasher and stove. Tile dust was on everything. I also put all the dishes back into the china cabinet after cleaning the glass doors and shelving. After the kitchen cleanup I headed into the livingroom and dusted everything in there.

We love our new flooring. The old dirty carpet and the hard to clean stone title is gone and in it's place is our new floor. It is neither laminate nor hardwood but is a luxury vinyl made out of PVC pipe. It has micro-beveled edges and comes in rich hues resembling natural wood. You get the look of wood but not the maintenance. It's durable and easy to clean (clean with damp mop) and has a 20 year warranty. You can't scratch it and it does not water stain. When installed it fits together in planks and is glued to the concrete slab. The contractor that installed it for us said it would last til the Lord comes again. Mannington and Karndean International are the two companies that make and sell it.

New floors but the same old dogs!

The new flooring gives our home a totally different look. We were tired of having to buy and install new carpet every five to ten years. We are so glad we chose this type of flooring. Now to clean out those closets and finish painting our spare bedroom.

Hope your day is busy too.
Christine
