WELCOME to my Garden

A few weeks ago I posted about the new garden we put together on the east side of our home. Grass wouldn't grow there and I had seen an idea from a magazine on how to make a shade garden that I thought would work.  When we finished it I knew I had to have a bench at the end of the stone path. My husband found one last week and bought it for me for our wedding anniversary.

Over time I'd like to add outdoor yard ornaments but they have to be something that really catches my eye. I do have some different kinds of rocks that I have collected from different states we've visited scattered around and there is a wooden butterfly on the left side that was given to me many years ago from friends. What do you think of an arbor at the entrance. Too much? For now this is the extent of the project. I'm happy with it.

It looks great! I think one of those arbors at the entrance to your garden would be beautiful especially with wisteria growing on it. The fence does need something...more of your birdhouses? Perhaps some hanging plants?

Love the bench. I think an arbor would be great there. I think a colorful metal artpeice would look nice on the fence. Enjoy your garden area.

Very pretty Christine! I agree on the arbor idea, it would add just the right touch. Go slow, you can add as you go along. A work in progress, indeed!

I love it. Something on the fence, maybe a bird house or two. And an arbor would really be a nice finishing touch.
